🎖️ NEW EIYOSHOU WINNER
Last weekend, a new milestone in overseas history has been achieved at the 第2回クラブ展 of AKIHO Central Europe. Following Tora Ishii, and Kurozane, Wakahiryuu has been honored with AKIHO Eiyoshou — a prestigious honorary award recognizing exceptional quality.
Warmest congratulations to breeder and owner, Zuzanna Chade.
ABOUT EIYOSHOU:
Eiyoshou is the highest honorary distinction attainable at overseas exhibitions, surpassing even Tokuyuu. However, it is important to note that Eiyoshou and Meiyoshou are distinct honors. Meiyoshou is reserved solely for Honbuten (headquarters exhibitions) held in Japan and remains the ultimate award. While both terms share a meaning related to “honor” (with different kanji: 栄 for Eiyoshou and 名誉 for Meiyoshou), Meiyoshou awarded at the Honbuten is the highest possible recognition in AKIHO tradition.

STATEMENT FROM AKIHO EUROPE ON FEEDBACK REGARDING THE 11TH EHC
In response to feedback recently shared publicly regarding the European Hozonkai Championship, AKIHO Europe has issued an open letter to all members, exhibitors, and Akita Inu enthusiasts. It addresses the points raised with transparency, respect, and commitment to constructive dialogue, while outlining ongoing efforts to improve the exhibition format and remaining true to the spirit and standards of Akita Inu Hozonkai.

Missing out on the 150th AKIHO Honbuten that is taking place this Sunday in Takasaki, Gunma? Then save the date in your agenda for the 11th EUROPEAN HOZONKAI CHAMPIONSHIP, which will take place on 29-30 March 2025 in📍Torino - Italy.
The delegation from Japan for this upcoming edition will include esteemed AKIHO judges OOTSU Kentarou and TSUTSUI Nobuji.
ENTRY NUMBERS 10th EHC
Entries for the 10th European Hozonkai Championship have been closed, resulting in a total of 130 Akita Inu. The exhibition will have exhibitors from all over Europe, including (in alphabetical order) Belarus, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Sweden and Ukraine.
AKIHO Europe is looking forward to a great exhibition and seeing all of you in Torino!
