序文 | Foreword
本書は、秋田犬保存会ヨーロッパクラブにおける公式教育資料として、秋田犬保存会が定める秋田犬標準を正しく理解し、指導および審査に適用するために作成されたものである。
日本語原文を基礎とし、その精神・歴史的背景・審査哲学を損なうことなく、英語による理解を補助することを目的とする。本書は西洋的解釈を加えるものではなく、日本における正しい審査思想を尊重し、継承するための架け橋として位置付けられる。
This document has been prepared as an AKIHO overseas educational reference document for the understanding, teaching, and application of Akita Inu Hozonkai’s Akita Inu Standard.
Its purpose is to support judges, trainees, mentors, and educators by presenting the original Japanese standard together with faithful English explanations, while preserving the cultural, historical, and philosophical foundations of Japanese judging practice.
This document does not reinterpret the standard through a Western lens. Instead, it serves as a bridge between historical Japanese terminology and modern, correct application, ensuring consistency, restraint, and respect for the essence of the Akita Inu as defined by Akita Inu Hozonkai.
