AKIHO Headquarters in Japan is the central organization of Akita Inu Hozonkai. AKIHO Europe supports AKIHO’s mission in Europe by promoting preservation, education, exhibitions, and communication in the European context.

AKIHO Europe does not replace AKIHO Headquarters. Instead, it functions as a European branch structure to support AKIHO-related activities outside Japan.

AKIHO pedigree certificates are issued by Akita Inu Hozonkai.

AKIHO Europe may assist members and applicants with information, communication, or procedural guidance, depending on the matter. However, formal pedigree issuance remains connected to AKIHO’s official registration procedures.

Registration matters are governed by AKIHO procedures.

While AKIHO Europe may certainly assist with guidance and communication, formal decisions regarding registration, pedigree issuance, ownership transfer, or related matters must follow the applicable AKIHO rules and processes.

AKIHO Europe represents AKIHO-related activities in Europe within its role as an overseas entity. For formal matters that require confirmation from Japan, AKIHO Headquarters remains the final point of authority.

After the founding of AKIHO Europe in 2008, additional overseas clubs were established in Europe: AKIHO France in 2018, AKIHO Central Europe in 2019, and AKIHO United Europe in 2023.

These organisations support AKIHO-related activities in different European contexts and help make communication, exhibitions, and education more accessible to members across the continent.
